Embracing New Media

The 2007 annual banquet of the Colorado Association of Black Journalists took place August 3rd at the Denver Mariott City Center. The occasion was well attended and featured top journalsits and media professionals all over Colorado. This years theme was Embracing new media. Awards were presented to journalits in various categories; broadcast, PR and Print.
This year, the highlight was the presentation of a health journalism award sponsored by Kaiser Permenente. The award went to Adam Dempsey of Lincoln Financial Media. Also, 4 students were offered scholarship money to help with the financing of their journalism education at various journalism colleges and universities nationwide.
